Earlier this week we had the
heads-up from our friends in the industry - who got the word straight from Warner - about the 6-DVD release of
Veronica Mars - The Complete 2nd Season. The info our contacts got at first said "August 15th", and that's what we passed on to our readers. But when Warner made the announcement official, they pulled a last-minute switcheroo on us and gave a date of
August 22nd.
Yesterday evening we made a slight change to the original story so our readers would begin to be aware of the correction. But we wanted to post a story that specifically pointed out the actual street date, so nobody missed out. While we're still waiting on full-sized cover art, we now have some additional details on the specs for this package: look for a Widescreen 16x9 transfer, English soundtrack (audio format not specified, but we expect 2.0 Dolby Surround like the first season had), and subtitles in French and Spanish. It will also be closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Amazon.com has a
