Wow! Just yesterday we updated you on the timeframe for the DVD release of The Venture Bros. - Season 1. Creator Jackson Publick had posted some info to his blog about the release, and now - just a day later! - Warner Home Video is passing out the official info about this set!

Be prepared to get this 2-DVD set on May 30th, with all 13 sort-of adventures of Hank and Dean Venture, and their bodyguard Brock Samson. Price is $29.98 SRP, and it includes several cool extras:
  • Show Pilot: "The Terrible Secret of Turtle Bay"
  • Bonus Episode: "A Very Venture Christmas"
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Behind The Scenes with the Venture Bros. Cast and Creators
  • Commentary Tracks by the Cast and Creators

Here is the "back of the box" description of the show, followed by the box art. Some of you will be tempted to e-mail in to us and say that you know where you've seen TVB box art before which looks very much like that. Don't bother; we know about that "student project" (if you don't know what we're talking about, ask about it at an appropriate message board; someone will fill you in).
Once a child prodigy, Dr. Venture now fails as both a scientist and father. Luckily, his twins, Hank and Dean are too stupid to care. And they've got their vicious, macho bodyguard, Brock, looking out for them. Together they get into all sorts of situations involving wild alligators, street ruffians, and booby traps. Brock really likes the booby traps.
