Welcome to Mansbridge Manor, a boarding school where the children of the upper crust are molded into the nation's future leaders. It's a blissful educational haven by day, but at night the Manor is transformed into a school that secretly houses a daring experiment to "civilize" a small pocket of teenage vampires! Headed by the brilliant but eccentric Reginald Murdoch, the program attempts to merge vampires and humans to form a peaceful co-existence for the future of the world.
Vampire High on DVD is a "full length movie feature" of approximately 90 minutes, comprised of content from the first four episodes from the first season of this show that ran on Canada's YTV back in 2001. The DVD 's official release date is
March 1st (today), and the SRP is a mere $9.99! You can purchase it through
Amazon.com, and though they are currently showing it as a special order, stock ought to be available soon since it's just now officially streeting. Amazon seems to have a wrong release date, adding to the confusion. We obtained our information directly from UAVCO, who is releasing the
Vampire High DVDs.
UAVCO also informs us that they will shortly be releasing two more
Vampire High DVDs, this time in episode format.
Vampire High - Second Semester and
Vampire High - Bites Back should both
be streeting in
May, and will each consist of 3 episodes from the first
season in chronological order, branching off from the movie. These two
releases will have a list price of $7.99.
Our thanks to the folks at UAVCO for their cooperation in bringing this information to our readers, and also to Jim Beaver for his well-titled "Vampire High Takes A Bite Out Of DVD"
thread at the Home Theater Forum website, which alerted us to this release in the first place! Here's the cover art for this release:
