United States of Tara - A Change Comes to 'Tara': DVD Delayed, Extras Revealed

New schedule moves this 2-disc release to the end of the year

Posted by David Lambert
Tara Gregson is a wife and mother with dissociative identity disorder. After deciding to take a break from her medication to discover the real cause of her disorder, her alternate personalities re-emerge: wild and flirty teenager T; old-fashioned housewife Alice; and male, loud, beer-drinking Vietnam vet Buck. Tara is supported by her calm and level-headed husband Max, her somewhat troubled teenage daughter Kate and quirky, good-hearted gay son Marshall.
Back at the end of July, Showtime and Paramount Home Entertainment announced that The United States of Tara - Season 1 would come to DVD on October 27th. Today those studios changed. No, not their personalities..the release date! Showtime/Paramount today informed retailers that the set will now street on December 29th, the Tuesday before New Year's Day. They've also informed us about the bonus material that will be available through this 2-disc set (some via e-bridge technology):
  • Audio Commentary by Creator Diablo Cody and Executive Producer Jill Soloway
  • Sitting Down with Diablo Cody
  • Meet Toni Collette
  • First episode of The Tudors Season 3
