In 1999, MTV began airing the first season of
Undressed, a soap-style drama series which took a look at the romantic and sexual relationships of twenty-somethings. The network managed to squeeze six "seasons" worth of shows into a three-year period, and featured some of the brightest upcoming young stars at the time.
Among the names you might recognize, that appeared in
Undressed at least once (but most of them in recurring roles) were Sarah Lancaster (
Chuck), Christina Hendricks (
Mad Men), Bret Harrison (
Reaper, The Loop), Nick Stabile (
Sunset Beach, Passions), Nicholas Gonzalez (
Resurrection Blvd.), Katee Sackhoff (
Battlestar Galactica), Cerina Vincent (
Power Rangers Lost Galaxy), Meredith Roberts (
The Education of Max Bickford), Adam Brody (
The O.C.), Brandon Routh (
Superman Returns), Jason David Frank (
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Dino Thunder), Scott Bailey (
Saints & Sinners), Sean Faris (
Life As We Know It, Reunion) and Rachelle Lefevre (
Swingtown, What About Brian?).
Now, in the past week or two (approximately), the folks at the UndressedTV.com website have
put up a DVD page, alerting fans that "
All six seasons of Undressed will be available on DVDs in the not-so-distant future." That's great news! They also provide an alert system, letting you sign up to be notified when more information is available about these releases.
Based on that, our guess (and it's just that: a guess) is that these will probably not be selling in stores, but rather it feels like they'll be available for direct sale only through this website. We could be mistaken, however; it doesn't say anything there to indicate one way or the other. However, it's rare to see all six seasons of a show come to DVD at once. It has happened before, though!
Our thanks to reader Dane Hill for tipping us off about this info. Stay tuned, of course, and we'll keep you updated if we find out anything further!
