December will see the 1-year anniversary of the First Season DVD set's release. The series is being re-run on the Bravo cable network. And - as far too many of you know - there are rampant rumors floating around portions of the 'Net that "plans to release season 2 have been cancelled".
With all these factors putting Twin Peaks on everyones mind lately, we went and asked the studio themselves about the status of Season 2.
Artisan's official response is that so far "there is nothing to reveal...it's still in the talks". With that, I think we can put to bed these "cancelled" rumors. Be patient: these things take time!
A site that caters to David Lynch information,
www.dugpa.com, has stated on a couple of occassions since August that we should expect to see these "Sometime in 2003... Don't expect this box set anytime this year (2002)". He goes on to point out that it ought to be well worth the wait, if those 22 episodes can be made to look as good as the first 7! We agree, and we'll alert you just as soon as any word comes down as to a release date.
