Several weeks ago we
reported about Phase 4's announcement of upcoming releases in Canada for
The Tudors - The Complete 3rd Season: Uncut Edition on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc, which will be available north of the border on November 10th.
For the USA, we
passed along way back in May that Amazon.com had begun taking pre-orders for
The Tudors - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD format, but that no release date was available because Showtime and Paramount Home Entertainment had not yet formally announced the title.
This morning Showtime/Paramount made it official, announcing that
December 15 is the release date for the USA release of
The Tudors - The Complete 3rd Season, only on DVD. Cost is not provided by the studio yet, but the
pre-order listing at Amazon shows $42.99 SRP (but you can lock in a copy at a discount). Running time given is 413 minutes, presented in widescreen. Bonus material will be provided both on-disc and "via E-Bridge technology" (i.e., by download) and will include a "Tudors Timeline" featurette, and the first two episodes of Showtime series
The United States of Tara. No further details are available yet, nor cover art, but stay tuned.
