made official that
Wednesday, January 2nd (skipping the New Year Day holiday) would be the street date for Showtime's
The Tudors - The Complete 1st Season. The 4-DVD set will have 10 episodes starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Sam Neill, running 550 minutes. Video is anamorphic widescreen, and audio is available in English both as 5.1 and 2.0, and there's also an option for Spanish soundtrack as well. Extras include:
- Featurette on Production Design
- Featurette about Wardrobe (The Tudors won an Emmy for Costume Design)
- Bonus Episodes of other top Showtime programming such as Californication and This American Life
