2 weeks ago we
had the scoop that
True Blood - The Complete 2nd Season would be coming out on
May 25th for
DVD and
Blu-ray Disc. Today the folks at HBO and distributor Warner Home Video formally announced this title, for both of those formats, and confirmed the date (and cost, and package art) we previously brought to you.
In
an earlier report, we passed along that the package art (seen below) said that the Blu-ray edition would have "
True Blood Enhanced Viewing" on all 12 episodes, plus "Exclusive New Blu-ray Features" that aren't detailed. Today's official studio announcement didn't go into the full details of the bonus material either. The DVD listing from Warner/HBO says there will be "Audio Commentary and Featurette," while the Blu-ray listing from the studios says the same thing, plus "Other" (probably referring to the above items that are promoted on the corner of the package).
Studio material quoted at the Amazon pre-order listings (see button link below) describes these sets as being "loaded with special features," but so far we haven't seen all the details on these supplements. In fact, except for the brand-new studio description quoted at the top of this story, that's really all the new info we have for you at the moment. But stay tuned and we'll fill you in if we find out anything further!
