Yesterday we
reported about how HBO had officially announced that
True Blood - The Complete 1st Season is coming out on
May 19th. It will be available both in a high-definition
Blu-ray Disc version and on a standard
DVD version. Now the studio has sent out the finished package art for both versions, and we've got a look at both of them for you below.
As you can see, the BD version's belly banner reveals that specs include 1080p video (which is what everyone expected) and DTS-HD Master Audio, plus exclusive-to-Blu-ray extras. What are they? HBO says that the DVD will have exclusive new bonus features including a vampire "documentary,"
True Blood commercials, audio commentaries, "and much more!" Meanwhile, the Blu-ray release adds "Exclusive New Blu-ray features with True Blood Enhanced Viewing." With this you'll have the ability to "Get the dirt on everyone in town with Lafayette," to "Find out how your favorite vampires were made," to "Read helpful hints" and, of course, "much more!"
