Back in February 2008, we
passed along rumors from an industry source that Universal was drilling down for a mid-year release of
Tremors - The Complete Series, the TV spin-off of the popular films. But by May 2008, we unfortunately had to
follow up with a report that Universal Studios had apparently buried those DVD plans, putting them back underground for the time being. Today, however, Universal has dug the title back up, dusted it off, and formally announced it for release on
March 9th!
The 13-episode show starred Michael Gross (
Family Ties), Marcia Strassman (
Welcome Back, Kotter), Gladise Jimenez and Lela Lee. Guest stars, some recurring, included Robert Jayne (
Knot's Landing, Christopher Lloyd (
Taxi, Back to the Future films), Armin Shimerman (
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Vivica A. Fox (
Independence Day, Curb Your Enthusiasm) and more! The set will come on 3 DVDs running 558 minutes long. Video is full frame, and audio is English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo with English subtitles as an option. Cost will be $29.98 SRP.
