As always, I've saved the nicest listing for last. Among the listings for August is...... Transformers (G1) Season 3 Part I DVD Box Set!

Clicking on the last link will take you to a long list of items with the "JUN03" preorder marking, for delivery to comic book stores in August. The listings for
"TRANSFORMERS SEASON 3" can be found near the bottom, on "PAGE 532" (just a few lines below solicitations for
Simpsons and
Kim Possible releases). There are listings for
Transformers S3 individual disc releases (Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3...$19.95 each) as well as for the S3, Part 1 box set ($49.95 SRP).
Note that the link to the 2005 store listing shows box art for Season 1. No box art has been revealed yet for Season 3. Also, there is no revelations here about which episodes would be included in this set, or even how many we'd get (all told there were 30 episodes in S3, including the 2-part "Return of Optimus Prime"; three DVDs ought to fit half of this easily). The specific release date is also not available yet.
But check back for more information, just as soon as Rhino gets the word out. We've heard whispers that the
Beast Wars Season 1 set might be delayed until August...if so, this will be a powerful 1-2 punch for Transformers fans!
