Unicron is defeated, but what was thought to be the end of the Autobots' darkest hour is actually proving to be just the beginning! The centuries-old war pitting Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and his team of heroic Autobots alongside their most trusted human allies - Jack, Miko, Raf, and Special Agent Fowler (Ernie Hudson Ghostbusters) - against Megatron (Frank Welker) and his nefarious Decepticons, rages on...coming to a boldly exciting climax you absolutely have to see to believe! It's a brand-new season of the Emmy Award-winning series that Crave Online calls the show that "die-hard fans have always wanted."
Shout! Factory is, according to
new pre-order listings at Amazon.com, scheduling November release dates for
Transformers Prime - The Complete 2nd Season. We say "dates," plural, because the early entries at the big e-tailer show that the $29.93 SRP version on DVD will be available on
November 20th, while the $59.90 SRP version on high-def Blu-ray Disc will instead be out on
November 27th, a week later. We're not sure why there's a 7-day delay, and the studio has not officially announced this to the press at this time (so there could be an error at Amazon). Package art and extras (if any) aren't available so far, either, but stay tuned for updates! Our thanks to reader Jacob Hoppis for the heads-up about this.
