We've gotten the complete details for you about Paramount's releases for
Transformers: Energon, so hang on tight!
The Battle for Engergon features episodes 1-4: "Cybertron City", "Energon Stars", "Scorponok", and "Megatron's Sword".
The Return of Megatron contains episodes 6-9: "Megatron Resurrected", "Megatron's Raid", "Starscream, the Mysterious Mercenary", and "The Battle of the Asteroid Belt".
Somehow, the 5th episode ("The New Cybertron City") was left off of these DVDs. We suspect it has something to do with the release pattern difference between the VHS versions and the DVDs: the VHS tapes only offer two episodes per release, but their DVD counterparts contain two bonus episodes, making it 4 per disc. With the VHS jump from ep's 1&2 to eps 6&7, which fits in with each release's main product title, they probably weren't intent on following the airing order as much as they were intent on releasing the most interesting episodes. With the upgrade to DVD, their thoughts shifted toward bringing extra value to the DVD customers. We think.
Each DVD runs 96 minutes, and sells separately for $16.99 SRP. Video is full-screen, and language is English, both in Dolby Digital Stereo and in subtitles and closed captioning. Street date? The target is locked in on
October 12th. Here's the cover art once again:
