Torchwood - The Complete 1st Series is already out on DVD, and the 2nd Series (or Season) is headed for DVD release on September 16th. That was also supposed to be the release date for a hi-def Blu-ray Disc release of the first season. However, the folks at Warner Home Video (who distribute home video for BBC Video) have passed word that
Torchwood - The Complete 1st Series on Blu-ray Disc will be delayed. The new release date is
November 11th, which is the same day Warner is putting out Blu-ray releases for shows like
Chuck and
Supernatural (see the separate news for those, posted earlier today). No reason was given for the delay. Online retailers, like Amazon and DVDEmpire, may still show the old date, but are expected to update before too long with the new information.
