Tom and Jerry - Disc-by-Disc List of Cartoons On Spotlight Collection Volume 3

With the September 11th release of Tom and Jerry - Spotlight Collection Volume 3 getting closer, reader Rich Holy (who we thank for the heads-up) has found the disc-by-disc details of the contents. Take a look, and you'll see that the above-named two cartoons are missing from this set and so they apparently won't appear on any of these "Spotlight" DVD releases:

Tom may catch Jerry on occasion but no one really believes the adorable little mouse will come to harm. After all, it would have also meant the end to the most popular and beloved cat and mouse act in show business. This is the third and final Spotlight Collection Volume from the Hanna-Barbera era of theatrical shorts. It showcases 35 classic cartoons - 15 newly re-mastered in their original CinemaScope widescreen format. On any screen large or small, Tom and Jerry remain the friskiest animated adversaries of all time. Catch them if you can.

• Featurette: The Karate Guard: the theatrical short released in 2005 that marked Joe Barbera's first return as a writer, director and story board artist on the series since his and Hanna's original cartoon shorts from 1940-58. This also was the last Tom and Jerry short Barbera worked on.
