A few weeks ago we
had the news that
Tom and Jerry - Spotlight Collection Volume 3 was being prepped by Warner for release on
September 11th. The 2-DVD set will go for $26.99 SRP, but can be
pre-ordered from Amazon.com for $19.99 (and there you'll note that the front cover art has undergone a slight coloring change than what we previously posted, although the layout's still the same).
We had hoped to have a press release by now, with all the details on it for this set, but the studio hasn't issued one yet. However, Warner did provide rear cover art at the end of last week, and now we've got it for you below. At the bottom you'll see a close-up on the Special Features, giving all the details about the extras on this set. As you can see, there's both a retrospective featurette on the history of Tom and Jerry cartoons, and a look at Joseph Barbera's work on 2005's "
Tom and Jerry Tales: The Karate Guard", marking a return to T&J after 40 year, and his final one prior to his death.
