Last month, Warner Home Video released Tiny Toon Adventures - How I Spent My Vacation on DVD, a special associated with the Steven Spielberg-produced animated show. Previously, in 2008 and 2009, the studio had released Season 1, Volume 1 and Volume 2 on DVD, with the first 65 episodes of the regular show. Fans have been waiting for the remaining 33 episodes since then, with 13 episodes from the second season and 20 from the third and last season.

Today, Warner Home Video has announced that on January 8th, they will bring to stores Tiny Toon Adventures - Volume 3: Crazy Crew Rescues, a 2-DVD set with 16 of the remaining episodes of the show. Priced at $19.97, you'll get ALMOST all the second season episodes, and four from the third season. Why "almost?" The one episode left out of the studio-provided list will come as no surprise to in-depth fans of the show: the 3rd episode of the 2nd season, "Elephant Issues," included a segment called "One Beer." In this controversial segment Buster, Plucky and Hamton become intoxicated, and there are dire consequences. The public outcry was so great after the show first broadcast this episode, that it's never been re-broadcast again. It apparently is being left off the DVD as well, because it's not mentioned in the list of episodes provided by Warner:
  • Disc 1
    1. Pledge Day
    2. Going Places
    3. Hog-Wild Hamton
    4. Playtime Toons
    5. Toon Physics
    6. Acme Cable TV
    7. Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian
    8. Henny Youngman Day

  • Disc 2
    1. Love Disconnection
    2. Kon Ducki
    3. Sepulveda Boulevard
    4. Take Elmyra Please
    5. Thirteensomething
    6. New Class Day
    7. Fox Trot
    8. What Makes Toons Tick
As you can see, there are no "Elephant Issues" mentioned there; our guess is that if this is the case, then it's because of the content issues described above. So that leaves 16 remaining third-season episodes for an eventual Volume 4 release, assuming that this item sells well enough for the studio to continue. Hopefully that's the case, and hopefully there's enough interest here to convince Warner to also complete Animaniacs on DVD as well (we just KNOW you're wondering by now, and sorry...there's been no word so far about those 24 remaining episodes). Package art for Tiny Toon Adventures - Volume 3: Crazy Crew Rescues can be seen below. No other info (such as extras, if any) have been mentioned, but stay tooned!
