The big blue bug of justice is here! Based on the popular comic book, this live action series follows The Tick as he confronts evil powers. In a city filled with danger, one man stands in the shadows, waiting for evil to rear its ugly head and feel the power of his superhuman noogie!
Yes, that's the announcement out of Columbia/Tristar Home Entertainment this morning, as they celebrate the release of the entire series (all 9 episodes) of the 2001 live-action program starring Patrick Warburton.
This will be a 2-disc set, hitting the pavement on September 30th. There's some confusion on the price, as Columbia's material lists a couple of different SRPs this morning. But all indications are that the correct list price for this is $29.95.
Released in Widescreen format, this will have a running time of 201 minutes. Soundtrack information isn't available yet, but it is going to be closed captioned for the hearing impaired. The only announced supplements are bonus trailers.
