Several weeks ago we
posted news about the WBshop.com online store's exclusive release of
The Pirates of Darkwater on DVD. Near the bottom of that story we reported that Warner Bros. was also working on several other upcoming animated TV-DVD releases through their manufacture-on-demand (MOD) program. One of them we mentioned was
Thundarr the Barbarian - The Complete Series.
Overnight a
Twitter post from the Warner Archive team has confirmed that the title is indeed coming from the WBshop's MOD program, and provided a ship date that is just one week away from today:
September 28th! They also showed off the box art for this 4-DVD set, which you can see below. The title is not up for pre-order yet, so pricing hasn't been revealed. Stay tuned, though, and we'll update you just as soon as we can!
Also, don't forget that today sees the (several-times-delayed) availability of WBshop's exclusive MOD release for
Falcon Crest - The Complete 2nd Season on DVD...so if you're a fan of that show, be sure to get it!
UPDATE (9/22): The WBshop.com has added
a pre-order listing this morning for
Thundarr the Barbarian - The Complete Series 4-DVD set. Cost is $29.95 as of this writing. Our thanks to reader Shawn Robare for the heads-up!
