The View, and audience members for that talk show got treated to specially-pressed DVD copies of
The Thorn Birds?
To which the rest of us replied, "Hey! Where's everyone elses' copies, Warner?"
Well, at the time we found out that "
Warner does have the title in their sights...and wants to get it in stores sooner rather than later. No timetable has been set for a release, however...we can't even count for sure on a year ending in a '3'."
We asked you to stay tuned, and we'd fill you in on any news we got. Well, HERE is some news, finally. This release IS cooking. In fact, it's pretty darn close to being done. Warner still hasn't announced where it will fall into their schedule, though. Whether or not it's before or after the holiday season really depends on how fast they can wrap up DVD production. I'm personally betting on after New Year, though, if you want my opinion. But it's not too late; they could still get it in stores as a gift-giving seasonal treat.
