Testimony of Two Men (mini-series) - The U.K. Program is Coming to DVD from Acorn *UPDATE/CORRECTION*

3-disc set will be available in early February

Posted by David Lambert
Based on the novel by Taylor Caldwell. "Arresting, diverse, sprawling" - The Washington Post; "A handsomely mounted production" - The Washington Post. Based on the bestselling historical novel by Taylor Caldwell (Captains and the Kings), this star-studded series follows the decades-long saga of Dr. Jonathan Ferrier (David Birney, St. Elsewhere); his mother, Marjorie (Barbara Parkins, Peyton Place); and her former lover, Dr. Martin Eaton (Steve Forrest, Mommie Dearest).

In post-Civil War Pennsylvania, young surgeon Jonathan Ferrier relentlessly campaigns to improve the antiquated medical practices in his hometown. He faces vehement opposition from the town's old guard, who will stop at nothing to destroy his career, and becomes engulfed in a series of doomed romances and family disputes. This tumultuous, Emmy®-nominated drama also stars William Shatner (Star Trek), Linda Purl (The Office), Ralph Bellamy (Rosemary's Baby), Tom Bosley (Happy Days), and Joan Van Ark (Knots Landing). NOTE: Contains violence and sexual situations.
Acorn Media's 3-DVD set of Testimony of Two Men is coming out in North America on February 5th. This collection of 3 episodes (approx. 287 minutes) includes the Original Broadcast Promos and Episode Recaps, plus English subtitles. Cost is $59.99 SRP, and here's the package art:

UPDATE/CORRECTION: This is not a U.K. program, as indicated in the headline. This is a 1977 mini-series for the United States from Universal TV. We were posting news today about other British shows, and got mixed up. We regret any confusion, and we thank one of our readers, "Kimberly," for pointing out our error.
