The Candian arm of Koch International continues to roll out very cool items north-of-the-border. In addition to
The New Outer Limits,
The Adventures of Sinbad,
The Hitchhiker, and
For Better or for Worse, Koch also is shipping something what looks like the entire run of William Shatner's
TekWar show.
Based on the books authored by Shatner, and starring Shatner along with Greg Evigan and Eugene Clark, this hour-long series set in the future ran 18 episodes on Canadian TV and also had 4 telefilms produced for it as well.
We're not sure if the telefilms are included in this set, but it consists of 5 DVDs called
TekWar - The Complete 1st Season (Volumes 1-5). This item goes up for sale next Tuesday,
April 20th, and the list price is $59.99 CAN. Here's the cover art:
The Canadian arm of online e-tailer Amazon has this up for pre-order right now, at the very nice price of $38.49 CAN (about $29 US). Keep in mind that, even though this is a Canada-only retail item, importing it to the US is no problem, and it will work on most USA-sold players (since it's all Region 1 coded anyway). If you want to order this from Amazon.ca, then just click
here.
Our thanks to Martin Albert of
Le Coin du DVD (French-language site) for the heads-up about this release!
UPDATE: Reader Andy Hall writes in to let us know that he's already got this item in his hot little hands, and that the 18 episodes are indeed what you'll find on this release. The telefilms are NOT included. Our thanks, Andy, for the precise info.
