Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Early Cover Art Surfaces For Season 6 Of Original Series 'The 5th Turtle' Blog Gets Their Shells On A Rough Look At The Box

Early last week we broke the news that Lionsgate is prepping the DVD release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Season 6, and that the debut of these 16 episodes from the original animated series would happen on April 8th. At the time we told you that the plans are to make this new package of DVDs reflect the "comic-book roots of the franchise", and indeed it does! This past Friday the folks at the blog called "The 5th Turtle" posted an early, rough, black-and-white look at the cover art for this release, and as you can see this is certainly a comic-book-style. Fans we've talked to are very happy about this: after the previous releases all had a "more of the same" look about them, Lionsgate started switching things up with the Season 5 "pizza box" look, and continues with Season 6 getting a "comic book" style to it. Maybe for the seventh season they can emulate an action figure toy package? Whatever they do, fans (and we) all agree that this is much better than before!
