In 2007 and 2008, the now-defunct BCI Eclipse released DVD sets of
Lone Ranger/Zorro: Volume 1 and
Volume 2, both with episodes of the Filmation-produced early-80s animated series
The Tarzan/Lone Ranger/Zorro Adventure Hour. While there are still no DVD releases in sight of the
Tarzan installments from that show (some people speculate that the hold-up is the estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs, but we're honestly not sure either way), the folks at Classic Media (who own the majority of the Filmation library these days) is putting out a pair of DVDs featuring
The Lone Ranger and
The New Adventures of Zorro. Each hero gets a separate single-disc title, at a cost of $6.95 each. Both are targeted toward the casual fan (who might pick these up in a supermarket check-out line, or similar), and will be available starting
