A month ago we
reported that
Tales from the Darkside - The 4th & Final Season is coming to DVD. At the time we based our information on an Amazon pre-order listing (see the button link below), which showed a street date of September 21st. Today CBS/Paramount officially announced the title, though, with a finalized street date of
October 19th.
But it's worth the additional wait! This 3-DVD set will not only include the 20 final regular episodes, it will also include 2 bonus "lost" episodes from the
TFRDS production company, which have never been released before: "Akhbar's Daughter" and the Brenda Vaccaro/Ray Baker-starring "Attic Suite"!
Running 432 minutes long, the feature episodes are presented in full screen video and English mono sound, preserving the format of their original broadcasts. Cost is $36.98 SRP. Here's a "flat" look at the finalized cover art, provided to us by the studio:
