Just a few days ago we
brought you the finalized package art (see below) for CBS/Paramount's
December 9th DVD release of
Swingtown - The 1st Season. Now we've got another update for you, concerning new details about the bonus material.
In
a previous report late in August, we passed along that this 4-disc set would contain the 13 episodes from its first season, plus "
brand new audio commentaries and special features that delve deeper into the show's incredible music, costumes, and spot-on 1970's sets." Now the studio has given us a more detailed description of the release's extras:
- Featurette: "The Spirit of ‘76: The Making of Swingtown"
- Featurette: "Have a Nice Revolution: Sex & Morality in 1970's America"
- Audio Commentaries
- Gag Reel
- Deleted Scene
Sounds great to me, as I'm a fan of the show. Since the DVD release is titled "The 1st Season," here's to hoping that it means we'll get a second season. Things
aren't too clear just yet about that, but I hope we get to see more of the Millers, the Deckers and the Thompsons!
