1982's box office Swamp Thing star, Dick Durock, returned to the role in the 1990 series which aired for three seasons on the USA Network, with Kari Wuhrer playing the role of "Abigail" during the first season. We've heard from our friends inside the industry that Shout! Factory has picked up the DVD rights to the show, and intends to begin releasing it during the first quarter of 2008.
Word is that they're shooting for a January release, but that the timeframe could move for production reasons. The goal, though is to put out a 4-disc set that would present the episodes in the order intended by the producers, rather than the confusing order that they originally aired in (similar to the issues Firefly had).
