After last year's Seasons 1 & 2 set, fans of Danny DeVito's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia have been jonesing for the next DVD release of FX's series. But we've got the scoop for you on that today, because our industry contacts have told us that Fox is sending retailers the notice to expect It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Season 3 on September 2nd!
The 3-disc set will have all 15 episodes, running 450 minutes. Episodes are presented in Full Screen video, with audio in English - Dolby Surround 2.0 and with English, French and Spanish subtitles. Extras will include:
- Commentary Track
- Featurette: The Making of Season 3
- Featurette: On Location in Phillly
- Featurette: Anatomy of a Man (Nothing Sexual)
- Picture Gallery: Designers Clothes & Dennis' Chest
- FX Promo Spots
- "On the Road with the Guys"
- Gag Reel
Cost is $39.98 SRP in the USA and CA$54.98 SRP in Canada. DVDEmpire has already put it up for pre-order at the link below. We're not price watchdogs here, and we will NOT report on updates to this, but as of this writing DVDEmpire is showing a pre-purchase price of just $19.99! Wow, you have to wonder if that's correct.
UPDATE: We've been told by one of our readers who's in-the-know about this, that the super-low $19.99 cost on this pre-order, in effect as of this writing, IS a correct price that WILL be honored! It's apparently an initial (and temporary, so move fast) 50%-off price which DVDEmpire does from time-to-time on newly announced titles. This is just a simple (and unadvertised) way of the longtime online retailer to take care of their customers. Rockin'!
