Two days ago we
reported that the first-ever official DVD release was now available to pre-order for
Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, starring Deanne Bray (now on NBC's
Heroes). That first 3-disc set contains the double-length pilot episode and the first 10 regular episodes of the series, bringing you "
11 Episodes From Season 1" (as explained on the box art, below).
This release is not in stores, but is only available via direct order from the
SueThomasDVD.com website. At the time we were not aware that the internet-based sales done that way were for USA customers only; we've been told that for legal reasons they are unable to sell to Canadians using the website. However, we've got an alternative method for our readers in Canada to use for placing their orders for the exact same release!
For orders in Canada, OR for orders from USA customers who prefer to not purchase via the internet, you can simply call this toll-free number: 1-800-533-6912. This number is not for the group producing the DVDs, but rather for the fulfillment operation that is sellling the sets, Integrity Direct. We've spoken to them, and were told that the cost is the same in both nations: USA$19.95 plus shipping (and possibly plus tax, where applicable). Shipping in the USA was quoted to us as being USA$5.95, and shipping to a Canadian address was said to be an USA$8.99 fee. As you see, all dollar amounts are in United States dollars. When the credit cards are charged for Canadian purchasers, it will be the US Dollar total amount, and the credit card will handle converting the cost to Canadian dollars, per the current daily exchange rate.
This first DVD release ships from distributor Integrity Direct on
November 10th. So far the plans for future DVD releases of
Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye have not been finalized. It's probably safe to say, however, that the first set could be referred to as "Volume 1", and much of the fate for future volumes will depend on how well this first release sells. Stay tuned and we'll fill you in when we find out more!
