Happy Thanksgiving to all of our USA readers! Our holiday gift to you this fine Turkey Day, and for tomorrow as well, is a cornucopia that's stuffed full of rumors about TV series that are new to DVD on Paramount/CBS's 2007 slate.
One long-awaited series that fans want on DVD is the 1972 show pairing Karl Malden and a young Michael Douglas. The Streets of San Francisco - The 1st Season, Volume 1 is reportedly on its way to DVD next year, according to our industry sources. The first season had 26 episodes, and if "Volume 1" means the first half, then we can expect to see episodes featuring guest stars such as Robert Wagner, Mako, Tim O'Connor, Dick Van Patten, Stefanie Powers, Vic Tayback, A. Martinez, David Soul, Deidre Hall, Paul Michael Glaser, and probably others that I'm overlooking.
Please remember, though, that this should be treated as a rumor, and that no formal announcement has come from the studio. Everything's subject to change, so take it with a grain of salt until it becomes official. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know when and if that happens!
