This past weekend the folks at the
Steve Canyon DVD blog posted
a big update about their upcoming direct-sales release of
Steve Canyon - The Complete TV Series, Volume 1. The title was previously set to ship this coming Tuesday, November 18th, but they've alerted fans that they have to push this back just a bit. It seems that there are a number of factors involved in needing a bit more time, most notably trying to get all the bonus material produced and included. That's a good problem for fans to have, fortunately! And it's not a long wait; right now they plan to start shipping on
November 25th...just a week later. The current "early-bird" pre-order price has been extended accordingly.
The extras you'll find are Audio Commentary Tracks on 10 of the 12 included episodes, with recordings by the like of Marion Ross, Russell Johnson, Morgan Woodward, James H. Farmer, John Nitka, Ron Miller, Brad Ulvila and John Ellis. Each episode contains the original commercials, and the network promos as well. The cover art on this release is also reversible, and below you'll see the "default" outer package art for both the front and rear (we've taken it upon ourselves to add the spine art, in "3D" fashion, to the front art for you to check out). The "flip-side" front art from the reversible cover is being held back for now, as a surprise for the first round of customers to discover when they receive their sets.
