STARSKY & HUTCH:
THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON

22-Episode Final Season Arrives on DVD October 17
in a Car-Crashing, Action-Packed Five-Disc Set

Culver City, CA – '70s pop culture phenomenons Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul return for the last time in the roles that made them icons when Starsky & Hutch: The Complete Fourth Season debuts on DVD October 17 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. All 22 episodes from this final season featuring the stylish guys and the famous Ford Gran Torino -- along with Antonio Fargas as "Huggy Bear," the duo's ultra-hip, jive-talking, streetwise informant -- will be available in a five-disc boxed set for $49.95 SRP.

Executive-produced by celebrated TV veterans Aaron Spelling (TV’s "Charlie’s Angels", "Beverly Hills 90210") and Leonard Goldberg (TV’s "S.W.A.T", Double Jeopardy), Starsky & Hutch first crashed onto television screens on April 30, 1975, as a two-hour TV movie which garnered so much popular acclaim it was brought back as a series that fall. The show’s engaging blend of streetwise grit, full-throttle car chases, off-beat humor, hip 1970s fashions and colorful supporting characters quickly turned the series into one of the best remembered programs of the decade. Starring Glaser (TV’s "Third Watch") and Soul (TV’s "Here Come the Brides") as a pair of unorthodox, streetwise detectives, Starsky & Hutch captivated audiences for 93 episodes over four seasons and became one of ABC’s top-rated shows. The engaging camaraderie and humorous banter between the two stars made Starsky & Hutch pop icons who paved the way for other popular buddy cop series such as "CHiPs" and "Miami Vice." In addition to its extraordinary popularity, in 1978 the show was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Dramatic TV Series.

Familiar faces making guest-starring appearances during the final season include Kim Cattrall (TV’s "Sex and the City"), Mare Winningham (St. Elmo’s Fire), Robert Loggia (Big, Independence Day), Sally Kirkland (Academy Award-nominee for Anna), Audrey Meadows (TV’s "The Honeymooners"), Ted Neeley (Jesus Christ Superstar), Yvonne Craig (TV’s "Batman"), Adrian Zmed (TV’s "TJ Hooker"), Maud Adams (The Man with the Golden Gun, Octopussy), Lana Wood (Diamonds Are Forever), Ray Walston (TV’s "My Favorite Martian," "Picket Fences"), Corinne Calvet (What Price Glory), Mary Crosby (TV’s "Dallas"), Ken Kercheval (TV’s "Dallas"), Joanna Cassidy (TV’s "Six Feet Under," "Buffalo Bill"), Jenny O’Hara (TV’s "The Facts of Life"), and Rene Auberjonois (TV’s "Benson," "Boston Legal").
