3...that's how many previous possible art concepts we've seen for the
July 29th release of
Stargate - Continuum. Now MGM Studios and distributor Fox Home Entertainment have kindly just sent us this revision to this artwork, telling us it's "the latest and greatest" (and hopefully the final version). It's similar to the most recently seen "bursting from the ice" package pictures, but a bit more colorful, and with even more detail than before!
This version's key art is based on the promo poster for
Stargate - Continuum, a direct-to-video continuation of the
Stargate SG-1 saga. It adds the feature's tag line, "History May Never Repeat Itself Again," to the bottom of the box, and also the names of the show's main stars - including Richard Dean Anderson's return appearance - at the top. The DVD version has the art sliding over the plastic case in a cardboard "O-Ring"; we're not certain yet if the Blu-ray Disc version will do the same.
