Back in September we
reported on the rumors about a high-definition Blu-ray Disc release for
Stargate - The Ark of Truth...and just a few weeks afterward MGM and distributor Fox made it official with their
formal announcement of the title for the USA and Canada. In the second story, we posted a thumbnail-sized shot of what the box design was being planned for, but it hadn't been provided by the studio itself.
Since then we've kept a daily watch out for the package art, and this morning we've been rewarded. Although the USA-specific shots - with titles only in English - haven't been distributed yet, the Canadian bilingual-titled package art has now been released. We have a look at it for you below, both with the outer "o-ring" cardboard sleeve, and in just the standard Blu-ray plastic "snap case."
Putting the addition of the French titles aside, the graphics are exactly as we showed in the small version seen in our previous report. If you're a resident of Canada, you can
pre-order through Amazon.ca; otherwise residents of the United States can
pre-purchase via Amazon.com. Either way, it's available starting on
January 13th:
