Last summer we
had a story that
Stargate Atlantis - The Complete Series Collection would be available on Oct. 6, 2009, per information from Amazon. The 26-DVD set had a list price of $259.98 SRP, and package art was shown at Amazon's listing. Strangely, though (or so it seemed at the time), the title was never seen at other retailers.
Now we've come to find out that this release was exclusive to Amazon at the time, and only available through them. That detail was somehow kept on the down-low for all these months, but now MGM and distributor Fox Home Entertainment are "taking it wide" with a general retail release on
March 23rd. They are also lowering the cost, to a $199.98 list price (which Amazon's listing, found at the button link below, now reflects) for the exact same content and packaging.
