We've
known for a while that
Star Trek: Voyager - Season 1 DVDs would arrive on Feb. 24th.
The question that's been on everyone's minds has been "when will we see the follow-ups?" For
Star Trek: The Next Generation and
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Paramount had an aggressive every-other-month release schedule: S1: Feb-Mar; S2: Apr-May; S3: Jun-Jul; S4: Aug-Sep; S5: Oct-Nov; S6: Nov-Dec; and S7: December (just in time for Christmas).
The word from Paramount is that
Voyager's release pattern following
Season 1 has been pushed back. The reasons were not given, nor do they have a full schedule yet for all seven seasons.
Right now, per Paramount's Martin Blythe in
a post at DVDTalk,
Voyager's schedule looks like this at present:
- Season 1: Feb 24
- Season 2: May 18
- Season 3: July 6
- Season 4: Aug 3
Please bear in mind that those dates are still subject to change. Is it possible that Paramount can accelerate the schedule at the end to stil get these all out before the holiday season is over? Maybe. Or maybe it's okay to finish our collections off in the new year.
