Red alert, mon Capitaine! Q the liar, Q the misanthrope, Q the anything-but-ordinary is coming to DVD in a special 10-story Fan Collective 4-disc set on
June 6th. Following up on the
Borg and
Time Travel fan collectives (March 7 and April 4, respectively), Paramount Home Entertainment will bring a new set called
Star Trek - Q Fan Collective.
Whoops, maybe it's wrong to say "Paramount" now. As you may know (and if you don't,
the story at StarTrek.com can fill you in on the details),
Star Trek is among the many Paramount television properties that are now under the "CBS Paramount Television" banner due to some recent rearrangements going on over at Viacom. So when you look at this item's box art below, don't be surprised to see the "CBS eye" logo instead of the familiar "Paramount mountain" logo we've seen up until now on all DVD things
Trek.
The running time is 636 minutes, which means that there will probably be a pair of double length episodes on this set (I think we can guess "Encounter at Farpoint" and "All Good Things..."). Don't forget that all the episodes
were chosen by the fans for this release! Episodes ought to come from
The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and
Voyager as these are the
Treks that featured appearances from the omnipotent alien. As expected, John de Lancie adorns the cover:
