We've already shown you -
here and
here - a couple of looks at the specially made box that
Star Trek: Enterprise will arrive in when it hits store shelves on
May 3rd. Now Paramount has provided some additional details about the release, and provided some great new looks at the outer box, the inner disc holders, the insert book, and the DVDs themselves!
Set in the 22nd century, a hundred years before James T. Kirk helmed the famous starship of the same name, ENTERPRISE takes place in an era when interstellar travel is still in its infancy. Captain Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula) has assembled a crew of brave explorers to chart the galaxy on a revolutionary spacecraft: Enterprise NX-01. As the first human beings to venture into deep space, these pioneers will experience the wonder and mystery of the final frontier as they seek out new life and new civilizations. 7 discs. 1147 minutes.
The front-side look in the top-left of that graphic shows what appears to be cardboard fold-overs that will help identify the set to consumers as the package sits on store shelves. Obviously the intent is that those will be removed when you take the shrinkwrap off.
Paramount promises more information in the near future about official announcements of the details of this release, so stay tuned and we'll fill you in once that comes to light!
