Well, we were surprised, anyway. An odd thing happened today: Dreamworks, through their distributer (Universal Studios), made available cover art for two upcoming releases of
Spin City on DVD. However, they haven't yet said a word about what the contents would be, when we could expect them, or pricing, or anything else!
We're left with deducing a few things from the cover art (which actually pretty much explains itself):
The titles, obviously, are
Spin City: Michael J. Fox - His All-Time Favorites Volume 1 and
Volume 2. These look like they will be separately-available "Best-Of" releases, with each episode hand-picked by Michael J. Fox (who of course was the show's star through the first 4 seasons).
As we said, there is simply no other information yet, other than the fact that the pictures were accompanied by captions that had the Dreamworks logo, and also said "Full Screen" (which is how it was broadcast) and "Not Rated." No word on how many episodes will be included, much less which ones, or what the release date is.
TVShowsOnDVD will keep a close eye on this one. More details will probably be available shortly. If they are, we'll certainly have them available here!
