Sony (not surprisingly, since they put out the PSP!) kicked off the TV-on-UMD genre with
April's announcement of
Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, which released just a few weeks ago. Now they have announced a follow-up UMD for release on
Sept. 13th:
Spider-Man: The New Animated Series - High Voltage Villians. Similar to the second DVD release (which featured episodes "The Party," "When Sparks Fly," and "Keeping Secrets"), this one however is in widescreen as befitting the aspect ratio of the PSP display. Sound is in stereo, natch, and the running time is the same 64 minutes as the DVD version of this title. The SRP is a bit higher, though, clocking in at a $19.95 list price. Here's the cover art:
