After releasing every episode of the legendary animated series on DVD in five separate packages, Lionsgate has let trade magazine
Video Business know that they are (finally) preparing an
October 7th release of
Speed Racer - The Complete Classic Collection. You'll get all 52 episodes in what's described as a "comprehensive set," that's specially packaged to look like the Mach 5 (see picture from
VB below). Now, the trade mag's info says this is a SIX disc set, whereas the previous five volumes each contained a single disc. So if the info is right, we'll get one more disc this time...does that mean Bonus Material? Let's hope so! Cost will be $49.98 SRP, per the trade mag story.
