Yesterday we brought you Sony's official
press release for their
March 17th titles,
The Spectacular Spider-Man - Volume 2 and
The Spectacular Spider-Man - Volume 3. At the bottom we still had the early cover art from Sony's trade ad, but this morning the studio has provided the finalized package art, front and back.
The front artwork has a few minor changes to what we've seen before. Notably, though, the subtitles of "Rise of the Super-Villains!" and "The Goblin Strikes!" - mentioned in
our earlier report about these two titles, and currently (as of this writing, anyway) included at their Amazon listings linked above - are nowhere in sight on the boxes (or in yesterday's press release).
Since Sony's
first DVD volume for this program primarily went by the name "Attack Of The Lizard," with no mention on the box of a volume number, this will make the various DVD titles inconsistent on the front and spine (something which we know from experience tends to irritate DVD collectors as they line them up on the shelf). So, does that mean that more box art revision could be coming? We're not in the loop on that, and frankly we doubt it, but if any changes happen then we'll let you know, of course!
