Yesterday we
had the scoop on final package art for the long-awaited North American collector's edition DVD release of
Spaced - The Complete Series. Our story included disc-by-disc bonus material contents for this 3-disc set, which arrives on these shores
July 22nd. We told you that we were also trying to confirm one other item for that list.
To refresh your memory: one of our readers, Tyler Foster, inquired at
Edgar Wright's MySpace page about whether or not the original commentaries from the Region 2 (U.K.) DVD release would also be included in addition to the new commentaries we list above. Tyler asks him there "Are the old commentaries included too? Just wondering."; Wright simply responds "Yes" in the next post down. We asked our BBC rep to confirm that the old commentary is for-sure included. This is the response from the BBC:
On top of the new exclusive commentary, of course we included the original commentary with director Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson), Julia Deakin, Katy Carmichael, Nick Frost, Mark Heap, and producer Nira Park. It's hilarious.
