The other week we
passed along news from animation specialist Earl Kress that
Space Ghost and Dino Boy - The Complete Series would come to DVD on
July 17th. Now Warner Home Video is preparing their official announcement for this coming Monday, and we've got the scoop on the details and artwork. Our thanks, as always, to our friends in the industry for their help.
All 20 episodes will be presented as they originally aired, and come on 2 DVDs running 528 minutes. Also, look for an all-new Alex Toth documentary on this set as an extra. Toth (rhymes with "oath," as I recall) was the man behind both
Space Ghost and
Birdman, and his resume also includes
Jonny Quest, Superfriends and
Battle of the Planets. This release, and the
Birdman DVD set, come out 10 days prior to the one-year anniversary of Toth's death, which was at his drawing board a month prior to his 78th birthday. So it's very fitting to include this tribute! Cost of this set is $26.99 SRP. Here's your first look at the box art:
