The world-famous Rumor Mill at TheDigitalBits.com has posted
a new update this morning, and has this to say about
Space: Above and Beyond:
...there's been no work started yet on the Space Above And Beyond TV series, although the current plan is to try to get this out in early 2006.
That's great news, if accurate. We expect fans to be a bit skeptical by now, though, considering we've had rumors about this show for
2004, and for
2005. This is probably going to be our last rumor report on this property; we'll wait until Fox (or any studio they might license it to, if they take the
Doogie Howser route) gives us something official on it. The last word from the studio - in
a July 2004 update - said that "there are no plans right now." From the way our friends at The Digital Bits are talking, that seems to have changed. Great news; now we just need the studio to step forward and talk about this!
Stay tuned, and we'll let you know if Fox or any other studio, or any retailers who deal with them, gives us any official word about the title.
