A&E is getting ready for a
July 31st release of
Space: 1999 - Digitally Remastered 30th Anniversary Edition Megaset. This 17-DVD set is being marked on the box as "Completely Uncut and Digitally Remastered", and the studio further has this to say about it:
- Premiering in 1975, it was the first major sci-fi TV effort since Star Trek left the air in 1969.
- FX wizard Brian Johnson worked on both 2001: A Space Odyssey and Thunderbirds.
- Every single episode, all 48, on 17 DVDs. The COMPLETE SPACE: 1999 MEGASET 30TH ANNIVERSARY includes these bonus features:
- Rare vintage interviews with cast and crew, including Gerry Anderson, Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, Catherine Schell, and Brian Johnson
- Original Year 2 behind-the-scenes featurettes
