Last Monday we
reported that the 10th Season DVD set of
South Park, originally scheduled for an August 28th ship date, was off the schedule and possibly delayed. Our guess was that the change was due to Universal's announcement of the hot show
Heroes on DVD, and wanted to get out of the way of a TV-DVD set that's likely to get a *lot* of attention in retail stores.
Rather than make fans wait until later weeks, however, the folks at Paramount Home Entertainment decided to ship it a week earlier than originally planned, on
August 21st. That's the new release date for this set, a week before
Heroes hits the stores, with 14
South Park episodes that include "The Return of Chef!," "Cartoon Wars" (Parts 1 and 2), and "Stanley's Cup." Here's the box art one again:
