A few days ago we
reported about info that Paramount Home Entertainment had passed to retailers about the upcoming
August 12th release of
South Park - Season 11 on DVD. In our report, we quoted studio-provided material informing sellers that this set would contain the following bonus item: "
While supplies last, every DVD will include a 3-song download pack for the MTV Games sensation ROCK BAND!"
That sounded pretty cool, and we know that our story was picked up all over the internet by happy fans. However, we have to let you down on that score. Late yesterday a studio spokesperson contacted us with bad news: this won't be happening after all. When we questioned further about the cause of this, we were told that the information we received from retailers was incorrect.
There will be other bonus material on this release, though, and Paramount promises to get us the details on that just as soon as they have them available. Stay tuned and we'll update you!
