His separation hasn't been working out. His nephew's fiance has become a distraction. His paroled cousin is giving off bad vibes. His business rival is looking for payback. His therapist isn't buying into the "other Tony." It's enough to send any mob boss over the edge. Hell hath no fury like The Sopranos.
After the pleasant suprise a couple of weeks ago, when we
found out that
The Sopranos - The Complete 5th Season would make it out
June 7th (instead of the previously mentioned timeframe of "late 2005"), we knew it wouldn't be long before HBO Home Video and distributor Warner released the rest of the details. Yesterday they did just that.
This will be a 4-DVD set that lists for $99.98, and isn't supposed to be advertised for less than a $79.99 discounted price. We had previously mentioned that there would be 4 commentary tracks, and who two of them would be by. Now HBO has revealed all commentators:
- 4 audio commentaries with Directors Steve Buscemi, Peter Bogdanovich (Oscar Nominee for The Last Picture Show), Mike Figgis (Oscar Nominee for Leaving Lost Vegas), Rodrigo Garcia (Six Feet Under)
The only other listed extra is a "Seasons 1-4 Recap"; that plus the 13 episodes are the main selling points for this compilation. We expect to also see the normally-included "Previously on" and "Next on" sequences, too.
